What is Somatic Coaching?

 

Somatic coaching involves the mind and body.  A somatic coach oftentimes observes a client’s breath, movement, and body language to help better understand the client and their experience. Somatic coaching helps individuals better understand the connection between their body and how it holds onto tension.

How does Somatic Coaching work?

Somatic coaching can incorporate a variety of body-oriented practices, including yoga, dance, breath work, and meditation, to help clients access and process their emotions and experiences. By engaging the body in the coaching process, somatic coaching can be especially effective in helping people through life transitions. Some research suggests that somatic techniques can be helpful in reducing chronic pain, improving sleep, and enhancing overall physical health and well-being.
